There is a lot of hype over .300 blackout cartridges right now. Some AR-15 owners claim that it’s the best cartridge out there while others say it’s been overhyped and not worth making the modifications to your rifle. So which is it? Should you buy .300 blackout barrels or upper receivers for your firearms so you can handle the cartridge? Let’s take a look at the hype and sort out who should (and shouldn’t) be upgrading to .300 blackout cartridges.

Do You Have the Right Upper Receiver?

We’ve covered this topic on our blog before, so make sure you read through that posting before you pop in a .300 blackout and try to fire it from your .223/5.56 upper. Bad things are going to happen to your gun and possibly to you, too. If you don’t have the right upper receiver, it’s up to you to determine whether or not you want to change out your receiver in order to handle these larger cartridges. If you decide it’s worth the switch, we have .300 blackout barrels, upper receivers and other gun parts online in our store. Our upper receiver kits also come with your choice of either a 10.5″ or 16″ blackout barrel, so you can get the length that you need for your firearm.

Why Are So Many People Making the Switch?

When you put a suppressor on your firearm, you can fire the .300 blackout cartridges are hearing-safe subsonic levels. People are finding them beneficial for home defense, hunting, and they are widely in use for military operations.

Am still waiting to hear back from you guys via email. Can’t ever get anyone to answer the phone or are even able to leave a message. I have a lot of free time on my hands and don’t want to start posting and blogging bad about your customer service or service in general which is non existent. I ordered a 300 blackout kit from you and was sent a 223 Wylde barrel as I can use the barrel for a future build I still need the correct barrel. Would also like to make more purchases but if this is the way you tend to do business I will take mine and my many dollars elsewhere. Was really excited to make a new and big purchasing agreement but am being left in the dark at this point. This will be my second shot a communication. Please get back to me asap.
